Celebrating Our 3 Year Wedding Anniversary!

Happy Wednesday friends!

Today is our 3 year wedding anniversary! I can’t even believe how quick the time has gone! Travis and I have been together over 11 years and 3 years married! We have been through a lot!

3 years married and we have moved three times, started new business ventures and made big goals for the future! I’m thankful to have a man that supports my dreams by my side! I’m grateful you’re my husband and best friend! Love you bunches baby!

Happy Anniversary My Love

Yesterday 2/1 we celebrated our second wedding anniversary!

Although we have only been married 2 years we have been together over 10! How amazing is that? Wow!

Travis and I are pretty low key when it comes to anniversaries and last night was just that, we went out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in town and just chatted about life right now and the goals we have. We have some big goals in mind this year and are actively trying to make those happen, I’ll share more if they come to fruition! I’m so proud of how far we have come in our relationship and marriage and love our little family! The best is yet to come!

Sharing some of our favorite photos together below!

02.01.20- Our First Wedding Anniversary

It’s a special day today! It’s our 1 year wedding anniversary, we made it!

One year ago today was one of the best days of my life, everything I could of ever dreamed of for our day. It was perfect! I’m sharing more photos from our big day below .

As for our first year of marriage, it was pretty amazing. Now of course we had our ups and downs and lots of big changes happened in 2020 especially with everything going on with the pandemic. During our first year married, Travis started a new job, lost that job due to the pandemic and quickly made a career change and got a new job. I quit my 9-5 to pursue my dream and work for myself. We moved from Orlando to Sarasota. Tons of things happened during our first year! Truthfully it was rough but still amazing and perfect to do as a partnership, it all brought us closer together. We are stronger than ever and come out on top!

Wedding Wednesday: Marriage Update

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

I’ll still be doing wedding Wednesday posts as we still have lots to talk about! I wanted to share some sneak peaks from our fabulous wedding photographer to go along with this weeks post!

We have been married almost 2 months now and even though it’s not long we’ve been together over 8 years total and this has only made us stronger! Marriage is truly a bond, building a life together supporting each other! There is definitely a learning curve when you get married and of course every couple is different! We have been working on the merging thing, figuring out how we will be handling finances and certain things together and bless Travis he married a pretty independent woman but again we are in this together and I’m thankful my man empowers me on all accounts!

We are now working on wrapping up thank you cards and printing wedding photos and I’ll definitely be sharing more photos and the videos once we received them!

Wedding Wednesday: Starting Christmas Traditions

Happy Wedding Wednesday Friends!

This is our last Christmas engaged and after 8 years together have yet to ever send a Christmas card out! I was determined this year to take Christmas card photos and send out a card! I love how every family has their own special holiday traditions and I wanted photos and a card to be one of ours. I think that once a year it is so important to get together dress up and take photos! Maybe it’s the blogger and photographer in me but I love photos and capturing moments! I think it’s super important and to print them too!

Anyway this year we started out tradition and took our first Christmas photos over at Rollins College, seriously one of the most beautiful places in Orlando! We went for more of a classic theme with simple black, white, and silver! I absolutely love architecture and greenery and this place encompassed that perfectly! We are sending out our cards this week from Minted and I already printed some photos for the apartment from Nation’s Photo Lab! Y’all print your photos and cherish the memories!

Happy 2 weeks till Christmas from the soon to be McGibbon’s xoxo

Wedding Wednesday with Shapermint

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

Of course with everything glamorous that comes with wedding planning comes the not some glamorous topic of shape-wear. I’ve teamed up with Shapermint to talk about shape-wear for your wedding and just in general!

First off I LOVE what the brand stand for empowering women and giving them confidence no matter what shape and size, shape-wear just helps emphasis what you have and empowers you! Especially for your big day depending on your dress style, shape-wear is recommended to really give you the best shape and Shapermint has a huge range of pieces from different brands based on what you’re looking for!

I typically don’t wear form fitting dresses and two pieces from Shapermint really gave me the confidence to strut my stuff in the red number. I’m wearing the Miraclesuit Shape with an Edge hi-waist brief in nude as well as the Bali Comfort Revolution Comfort Flex Fit Shaping Wire-free Bra and these really did the trick with this dress and are the perfect combo for something tighter fit.

I’ve also been loving the Bali Lace N’Smooth Firm Control Full Body Shaper for under dresses or even could be worn with jeans and low cut top. Shapermint also send over the Empetua Faux Leather Shaping Leggings and these are perfect with a long sweater tunic or top with booties or a t-shirt and sneakers they are a staple piece to have in your closet! I highly recommend checking out Shapermint online HERE!

Wedding Update-86 Days Away

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

This week I wanted to share a wedding update with you and share the most recent things we’ve done and what we have lined up as we are in the home stretch, less than 3 months away, where did time go?!

2 weeks ago we went home to the venue for our tasting and to get a preview of our tables for the reception! It was better than I could’ve imagined the table was perfection! Out theme is very romantic and classic with blush, rose, and ivory tones with touched of rose gold and it was beautiful!

But let’s be honest one of the most important parts of a wedding is the food! What do you remember most about weddings you attend? The dress, the drinks, and the food hands down! So the food and drinks are super important to us, huge foodies here and I especially want people to remember that we had awesome food at our wedding! The tasting did not disappoint we tried several things that would be severed that day as we are doing stations and have tons of options so we tried something from each station basically, all AMAZING! Truly so good I can’t wait for everyone to eat up that day and enjoy themselves!

As for things we have coming up….I have my first dress fitting at the end of the month along with booking out hotel and making ceremony and music decisions are at the top of my list! We have our rings, attire, vendors, almost everything. We are just down to the small stuff now it’s all happening so fast!

I’ll keep you posted as we continue the process! Have a great rest of your week!

xoxo

My Bridal Shower!

Happy belated Wedding Wednesday!

A few weeks ago my mother hosted the most beautiful bridal shower at my parents home, y’all it was one of the most beautiful events I have ever attended! My mom and maid of honor thought about every little detail. My mom has a true talent for details and events, she’s amazing! Anyway I wanted to share all the fun photos from that day and the fun moments from this magical day!

Below are just some of the details around the house. From signage, sayings, candy my mom thought of every little thing. Every place in the house was covered with love and bridal shower fun!

Also my mother cooked everything all the food and the desserts and put together this fabulous table with stunning flowers. We had all my favorites including Mexican food and charcuterie of course, and not to mention a mimosa bar and a dessert bar too! Seriously the most delicious things!

Also my mom knows i love photos and taking photos and she had a photo backdrop for us as well as a custom frame she made for photo fun too!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about my mom and all the work she put into this! I’m so thankful for all the fabulous women that attended my shower to celebrate with me, I’m so grateful for this day!

The Modern-Picturesque Dream

Another Wedding Wednesday in the books!

I’m sharing some of the fun professional photos from my bachelorette weekend last month below! I chose to have Amy McKinlay Photography photograph my best babes and I to get some awesome shots to have as memories of the weekend and I absolutely love how they came out! Photos are so important to me, I love to have a slice of a moment that I can look back on and I knew I would want some of the weekend!

We stayed at the Sarasota Modern as I’ve shared before and this hotel is a dream! So clean and chic and a blogger/photographers dream come true! So many beautiful spots and details in the hotel that make it so picturesque and perfect! That was another reason I wanted photos there!

Long story short I highly recommend getting a photographer and taking all the photos for events leading up to your wedding whether that be for the bachelorette weekend, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, doesn’t matter just have someone there to document some of the once in a lifetime moments!

Bachelorette Weekend Recap & Mini SRQ Travel Guide

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

This week we are talking everything bachelorette party weekend! I chose to have my bachelorette party in Sarasota, are you surprised? Let’s be honest I’m a Sarasota girl through and through and I had to have my bachelorette weekend at the beach, no place I rather be than here! This post is about the weekend but also a mini travel guide for some fun things to do if you are ever in Sarasota!

First off my girls killed it with the hotel and the decor for the weekend! We stayed at The Sarasota Modern, and it was an instagrammer’s dream, everything was beautfiul and picture perfect and I can’t wait to go back! My party was tropical themed so everything banana leaf and pineapple which I’ll share below with all my favorite treats to munch on over the weekend!

A must while in SRQ is to hit Selva Grill especially for Happy Hour! They have my ALL TIME FAVORITE Cesar Salad and the drinks are amazing too! *Word to the wise get there earlier, it’s a poppin spot* We also hit some bars on Main, which I can’t attest to much as I’m not a bar girl so we didn’t stay long, but we did have a celeb sighting at one of the bars, see if you can’t guess who it it below :)

We also of course hit Daquiri Deck on Siesta Key and had to take a photo at the beach because what is a trip to Sarasota if you didn’t go to the beach, right?! Highly recommend checking out the Daquiri Deck if you’ve never been, it’s a staple in town, especially if you’re going for a beach trip! They have great drinks of course and the food if yummy too!

Lastly we only hit one local breakfast spot, but if you’re ever in town make sure to stop at Station 400 they have amazing breakfast and lunch and the food is out of this world. The whole vibe of the downtown location is just like a train station, it’s the cutest! Highly recommend!

Sharing some snaps from the weekend below and will have a fun photoshoot from the weekend coming soon! We are 4 months away, next stop bridal shower!

What I'm Packing For My Bachelorette Weekend

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

We are just a few days from my bachelorette weekend and I’m sharing my must haves that I’ll be taking on my beach inspired weekend!

First off all things white! I’m bringing a cute white summer dress from LC Lauren Conrad for one of the nights as well as a white swimsuit and other white accessories for all the looks to be “bridal” without being to much in your face. I’m also packing tropical print and colored pieces from Old Navy that will be perfect for drinking daiquiris and walking on the beach! comfortable shoes are also a must as we will be doing a good amount of walking so sandals and comfortable wedges will be essential! I’m also packing a few fun bags to go with the whole beach theme especially because here in FL summer isn’t really over for I’ll be bringing all the summer pieces I haven’t worn yet!

I’ll be taking tons of photos this weekend to share with y’all of the final looks and the fun festivities! Below are some of the pieces I’m packing and some other fun things that would be perfect for a beach bachelorette!

End of Summer & Wedding Update

As summer “technically” is coming to a close and it is still very much pool season here in Florida so of course you can find me sporting another ArteSands suit by the pool soaking up some rays of sunshine. They recently sent over this sassy one piece in the cutest animal print with a fun cut out! Y’all know I love this brand and everything it stands for! I love that they are size inclusive and have the cutest prints and styles! I paired this fun suit with a super cute cover up from Amazon and sunnies from Old Navy. I absolutely love the cut and fit of this suit and how it accentuates all the right things! I highly recommend checking them out!

I also promised y’all a wedding update and here it is, we are working on wrapping things up before the holidays begin as once October hits we know a lot won’t get done between Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, My birthday, New Years we are going to blink and it will be the day. Needless to say we are doing our best to complete all our tasks. We will be sending out the official wedding invitations soon, my dress just got here, my bachlorette party is next weekend and my bridal shower is next month and things just keep going, LOL! I can’t believe it all has happened so fast, I’m trying to soak up as much as I can because I want to enjoy all the little things!

I’ll be sharing more posts coming up about all the wedding festivites and outfit options for the bridal shower and bachlorette party! Make sure to check back every Wednesday for a new post and updates!
