Summer 2020 Recap

As summer comes to close even though here in the sunshine state it’s boiling hot, I wanted to give an ode to summer as it is my favorite season next to winter! The whole year has been a bit different but summer especially was different for me and my family! Summer is the time we vacation and visit family up north which is unfortunately on the back burner until regulations change on some things. It’s been a tough season this year.

However some really exciting things have happened this summer! I hired a business coach at the start of summer and she has brought me into a new season of working for myself! This summer all within a couple of month’s Travis lost his job, started an amazing new job, and I left my job to pursue my passion, y’all it’s unreal to think this is our life right now!

So just remember no matter how tough things get there is something better coming! I promise! You just need to believe it!

Must Eats in Sarasota

This week I wanted to share a few of my must haves when it comes to visiting home! Whether you are visiting or even if you are an SRQ local these are some places to check out! So lets talk about food!

First off if you are a cheese and charcuterie lover like myself don’t sleep on Charcuterie & Cheese Sarasota! Shannon is amazing and makes the most amazing boxes and boards for any occasion! Perfect for a hotel stay, beach day, or any day really I can’t recommend her enough! She does an amazing job featuring amazing meats, cheeses, savory and sweet and this is an absolute must for me now when I visit home! It is such a treat!

Next let’s talk donuts! Who don’t love a good donut for breakfast or dessert? Sarasota has tons of amazing breakfast spots but if you’re in the mood for an amazing donut look no further because Five-O donuts are the most amazing things ever! They offer classic as well as super special donuts and I can’t recommend them enough if you want a special treat!

Third spot I want to share with you is a hidden gem, Whitney’s on Longboat Key! This one is the most picturesque restaurant ever! The colors are amazing and even if you just need a good photo head out that way but I promise you the food is a must too! They have great options for breakfast and lunch and some fun drinks also! The service is amazing and it’s a spot you don’t want to miss out on!

LC Lauren Conrad- Apartment Refresh Pt. 3

Happy Wednesday Friend!

We are wrapping up the apartment refresh this week here on the blog! Final room we are covering is the bathroom, another room that is super easy to refresh on a budget, think shower curtain, towels, rugs, etc. LC Lauren Conrad has such great option to refresh your bathroom and at great prices too and the quality y’all know if amazing!

I’m a lover of pastels so these pieces really spoke to me! The tropical pastel shower curtain paired with the textured hand towels and the super soft bath mat, highly recommend and again it won’t break the bank!

We live in a one bedroom apartment so when we do have friends over they use our bathroom so we really try to keep it clean and put together and these simple things make it that much nicer of a room.

LC Lauren Conrad- Apartment Refresh Pt. 2

Hi Friends!

Next room on our refresh list and probably one of the most easy in my opinion is the bedroom! LC Lauren Conrad has some amazing bedding options and this white quilt with matching shams is seriously the softest coziest bedding ever! The teal and white throw pillows are perfect accents to the neutral tone of the bedding and I honestly love blue tones because they are so calming!

Bedding sets are probably the easiest and most inexpensive may to refresh your bedroom! Add your own touch with the throw pillows, with color and texture!

I’m also wearing LC Lauren Conrad here, one of my favorite dress styles of hers that comes in a bunch of colors and prints and is perfect for any time of year here in FL. This would be cute with a denim jacket and some booties for fall or with sandals and a straw bag for summer! This would definitely be a staple dress that I recommend you grab!

LC Lauren Conrad- Apartment Refresh Pt. 1

Hi Friends!

Long time no talk! I took a bit of a hiatus for a bit as I hired a business coach a few months ago to help me take my business to the next level so I’ve been really dedicating so much time and energy to building the blog and offerings to benefit y’all even more! With that being said I will share more about all of this later and some big changes I’m making!

Today I wanted to share part 1 of my apartment refresh that LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s helped me with! As we have all been staying home more and focusing on improving our space I teamed up with LC Lauren Conrad on a fun refresh that you too can do to your home or apartment!

First off is the living room. Let’s be honest we probably spend most of our time in the living room when we are home and this beautiful LC Lauren Conrad Rug really brought the space together and the rug is such great quality and very soft! I love the colors too and can say enough good things about this rug for the space! The brand offers several different rugs all unique and very different than anything I’ve seen so needless to say I’m impressed!

So next time your want to refresh your living area think of changing out the throw pillows or the rug as they are quick and decently inexpensive things to change! A rug really helps define a space and in an apartment it really helps make it feel more homey!

I’ve also been obsessed with this outfit also from LC Lauren Conrad as it’s still very hot here in Florida and shorts and light weight tops is where it’s at! I have these shorts and this top in multiple colors and they are definitely staples for me! Great quality and signature pieces that I can’t recommend enough as well!

Summer Look with LC Lauren Conrad and Life Update

Hi Friend!

Happy Wednesday! I want to share some things that have been in the works with you!

So overall I’ve been super busy growing my business when I’m not working on my 9-5 and trying to have a personal life! But I’m sure you’ve heard that saying about 6 months of hard focus can really push you ahead in the next 5 years or something like that. So right now I’m in strong focus mode!

On Monday 8/10 Lifestyle with Laramie turned 4 years old and wow I can’t believe it! When I started my blog four years ago I was looking for a creative outlet for myself from my stressful 9-5 day job and a blog was perfect for me! I enjoy writing and sharing with you all!

Spring Fashion Florals

Happy Wednesday Babes!

Summer fashion is headed your way but I have another cute spring dress from LC Lauren Conrad that is cute for spring and summer. Y’all know I love soft pastels and this light yellow is something a little different for me! I love the balloon sleeve detail and floral print paired with these super sweet block heels and the cutest wicker heart bag. I love this for something a little more fancy, again great for weddings or brunch.

Y’all know I love dresses for spring and summer, I practically live in them because it is just to hot in Florida to bother with anything else. This is is another super light easy to wear fit, as we get more into summer you’ll definitely see more bold colors and prints from me as that’s what I love for summer! Maxi and t-shirt dresses to as well as graphic T’s y’all know I love my t-shirts!

Showing Myself Grace During Quarantine

Happy Wednesday friends!

Hope y’all are having a great week! I wanted to share this fun dress from London Times that is perfect for all your Spring and Summer parties, this would be great for a wedding or wedding festivities, lunch, shopping you name it! It’s super comfortable and light weight. This would even be cute with some sandals or wedges and maybe a clear bag! I paired mine with some amazing heels from Stein Mart and fun earrings from St. Armands Designs!

Also as things start opening again and we try and normalize everything I wanted to remind you whether or not you gained or lost weight during this quarantine not to beat up on yourself and love yourself regardless if your jeans are now a little tight or not. Remember to show yourself grace and appreciate your body, love yourself!

Another year older but still so handsome and even more caring and loving! 9 birthdays together and they keep getting better! I’m so grateful that you are now my husband! I’m thankful you are my forever partner in crime, dance partner, love of my life! You are the most amazing man and I’m so thankful I got to marry you before all the craziness started this year! Y’all know I love London Times, their dresses are so chic and classic and perfect for every occasion! I wanted to share this super cute white number especially for all my future brides out there or any of you girls looking for a great white summer dress!

As we continue to spend most of our time at home I wanted to showcase this look at home and how I thing you can still dress up and be at home, do whatever makes you feel beautiful and comfortable! Are you wearing mostly lounge wear or wearing normal day to day clothing as you were going to work?

When we are able to go out again this is the perfect dress for brunch, shopping, or just running around it’s so put together but would be great with sandals too!

To My Mom-Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms out there but especially my mom!

As I’ve gotten older the relationship between my mother and I is one I cherish the most! My mom is one of the most amazing people I know not just because she’s my mom but because of who she is as a person! You won’t meet someone more, kind hearted, caring, loving, silly, and creative as my mother! She’s been through a lot over the years but somehow came out on the other side an even stronger woman and more inspiring than before!

I couldn’t be more grateful to have her as my mom and best friend! What a gift to have a mother that has always been there for me, supported me, and guided me, thank you mom for all you do for me! Love you so much!

We took some photos about a year ago because we didn’t have any photos of just us since I was a kid, highly suggest to all of you that you take photos with your parents through the years, make the photo sessions with mom and dad so you can look back at these memories! I’m sharing some of those photos along with some other favorites!

Quarantine Tie-Dye

Happy Wednesday friends!

I hope you’re hanging in there with all of this going on! Here is FL the state is slowly opening in Phase 1 but we are still doing as much as we can by staying home and only going out for essentials.

Needless to say I’ve been spending a lot of time in my lounge wear and have jumped on the tie-dye train and purchased some pieces to lounge around and work from home in! I’ve been loving these pullovers from American Eagle as well as several pairs of their comfy shorts from Aerie as well! They have had some great sales going on and amazing pieces for this season, highly recommend checking them out!

Being at home I’ve also starting shooting some in my apartment since we are all at home right now. I also wanted to share one of the tie-dye pieces that I’ve purchased recently and check in with y’all and see how you’re doing! Let me know below!
