Dressing Up in 2021

Happy Wednesday Friends!

I wanted to talk about dressing up this year as 2020 was kind of a wash when it came to wearing our fancy dresses and those special occasion heels right?

So this year I’m talking advantage of any outing to wear one of my cute outfits or even over dress and where the sparkle and everything and just be a little bit extra to make up for last year and not getting any opportunity to wear all the fun clothes!

That being said I’m sharing below one of my favorite fancy dresses currently from Maggy London, I’m obsessed with this emerald green number that is perfect for a wedding or the holiday season. The midi length keeps it super classy and you can still show off your favorite pair of shoes!

Are you wearing all the fun clothes this year that didn’t get a moment last year?

Our Cruise on The Disney Dream

Sorry this post isn’t going up until Friday this week y’all. We have been super busy between traveling, wedding planning, my photography and getting ready for the holidays life is super overwhelming…in a great way! Anyway, a few weeks ago I embarked on my first cruise EVER! Call me crazy but the movie Titanic stuck with me ok, I tend to over think things, lol!

I was the photographer for Chris and Mer’s wedding that was taking place on The Disney Dream and Travis was in the wedding so therefore we were going on this cruise. Travis and I have never taken a cruise together and me never so we were in for an adventure.

As a first time cruise goer I didn’t have any problem with sea sickness or anything like that (thank goodness) and loved all the beautiful parts of the ship, especially for the wedding photos! So many great spots! The food was amazing everyday and the customer service in general was on point, it is Disney after all.

If you have never been on a cruise and are preparing to go soon I would keep a few things in mind. Do your research, if you are stopping anywhere on your trip see where you’re docking has to offer; excursions, shops, food. Also take everything into account; as in gratuities, extra drinks, souvenirs ex, make sure you know exactly what you are planning on spending when you get on the ship. It will take all the stress off you later if you plan ahead! Above all else have a blast! Order the extra dessert, lounge by the pool and attend all the shows, we had a great time and can’t wait to plan our next trip!

Below are just a few highlights from our trip! We loved the towel animals every night, all the yummy treats, and really enjoyed Castaway Cay!

Do you have any trips planned that are coming up? I would love to hear about where you’re traveling to!

Loft & Life Chats

We are half way through the week friends, yay!

This week is a super busy one for me full of events and fun things! I wanted to share something fun with you that I had the opportunity to do yesterday. You all know how much I love Loft, I mean let’s be honest over half my closet is Loft but yesterday I had the chance to actually go into Loft at the Altamonte Mall and try on some of their new fun pieces for fall! Literally it was a dream come true to get to work with a brand I love so much! I had the honor of meeting some great girls and working with them last night to do a try on session, check it out on my IG stories @lifestyle_w_laramie! They were the sweetest people and so fun to work with! Literally so grateful I get opportunities to do things like this!

So now on to this look, of course it’s Loft! This is a suit I got for our Vegas trip a few weeks ago and wanted to share it with you! I have never tried Loft swimsuits before and I ordered 3 for this trip! I loved EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! I was totally surprised but I really did love the fit and cut of each one and they were perfect for my trip and trips to come! Anyways this one is so fun with the lace up detail and the fun colors I couldn’t pass it up! I paired it with some hot pink sunnies from Loft as well and sandals from Old Navy to top it off! The whole look is under $50 as you all know I love a good deal and got everything one sale, I had my eye on this suit for a long time! Loft is just literally perfect for the everyday woman and I just absolutely love shopping with them! Make sure to check out their current sale which is 40% EVERYTHING!

As for everything else going on we are now into what I feel is my busiest time of year! I have some weddings I’m shooting in October and November. I’m planning my own wedding (I promise I will be writing a post about this soon). I have tons of blogger events to attend. Still work my 9-5 job and have a few trips lined up as well. Not to mention the holidays are coming! I mean really after Halloween is over you blink and it’s Christmas!

Again so thankful for all of you that take the time to read my blog and like my IG posts! I am so grateful for all of you! Hope you have a great week and I will see you next Wednesday! xoxo

Viva Las Vegas

We just got back from our Las Vegas trip Tuesday morning so of course I had to let all know about the must sees and dos when visiting the strip!

We stayed at the Paris Hotel for a few nights to really experience the strip and walk around! The hotel was amazing so chic inside, crystal chandeliers everywhere and just an overall Paris vibe of course. The pool over looked the Eiffel Tower of the hotel and was an absolutely stunning view while laying out by the water.

Let's talk food! So as soon as we got off the plane at LAX we headed straight to In-N-Out for the first time EVER on our way to Las Vegas. Ya'll it was everything  I imagined and when you've been on a plane for hours and starving it tastes extra good! Another fun spot we checked out was Taco Bell Cantina, yes the food you can get anywhere but not the drinks they have 7 different slushy flavors in which you can add a shot of alcohol and have the perfect drink to beat the heat! To top it off we had to stop and get Fat Tuesdays because when in Vegas!

Some must do activities would include visiting old Vegas, Fremont St. and seeing everything there. Also if you are adventurous check out the High Roller Ferris Wheel the view is amazing and it is a perfect way to see the city! Of course if you have time check out a show they have tons to offer and tons of amazing singers have residencies in Vegas currently!

Lastly if you have time on your way out of Las Vegas make sure to stop at the Seven Magic Mountains! It is so cool and different, definitely a must to stop and take some photos with these colorful rocks! Do expect it to be packed I would highly suggest maybe getting there earlier in the morning to beat the crowd but again totally recommend it!

Have you ever been to Las Vegas? Let me know in the comments below we are thinking about going again sometime and exploring more!

Classic Casual Look

Hey guys! Hope you're having a great week so far! Quick life update for you I'm gearing up for a busy fall. We are headed to Vegas this month, possibly planning some beach trips for September, and I'm boarding my first cruise ship in October. I have weddings booked, wedding planning for my own big day, and starting to plan for the holidays, I seriously need more time in a day, anyone else?

Anyways...I've got a classic Laramie look for y'all today. When it's not boiling outside a look like this is pretty much my go to. I love everything girly and dressy don't get me wrong but I'm a jeans and t-shirt girl through and through. Old Navy has always had some of my favorite jeans and I love a good distressed pair of denim! Paired with a fun t-shirt with some embroidery from Loft and fun flats (again from Old Navy) add some sunnies and I'm good to go anywhere. This look in total is under $50, you know I love me a sale!!! I hope you love this look!

Let me know what you would like to see next on the blog? Do you want to see some beauty products? Transitional pieces going into fall from summer? Let me know!

Valentine's Day Sweets

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! We all know Valentine's Day is about chocolates and flowers but I'm talking sugar cookies and baking in this post! I love showing my love and appreciation for people through cooking and baking for them. Baking was a huge part of my childhood and has continued into adult life. Some of my best memories growing up are helping my mom bake cookies and treats for any and every holiday. My mom is the most talented women especially when it comes to her baking and creative abilities, she's amazing! So for Valentine's Day I wanted to make one of the recipes that reminded me of my childhood, a classic sugar cookie and royal icing.  I recently took a poll on IG asking if y'all were interested in seeing the  sugar cookie recipe and y'all said yes, so here it is!

Sugar Cookie Dough:

1 1/2 cups butter, soft not melted

3/4 cup sugar

3 1/3 cups flour

1 tsp vanilla

1 to 3 tsp. milk

Mix and chill for at least 2 hrs. if not longer

Roll on floured surface

Bake at 325 for 15 min,

Royal Icing:

Use the Wilton recipe that includes meringue powder

I hope you all enjoy this post and if you make the cookies please share and let me know! :) Hope y'all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Halloween Tricks & Treats

This past weekend I went home to Sarasota and of course while I was home I helped my fabulous mother with some baking and crafting! My mom is literally the most crafty and talented person I know! She is so inspiring, there are not enough things I can say to express how much I love her! Halloween starts our extreme love for the holidays and everything that comes with them! Baking, crafting, decorating, we love it all her and I! I hope you enjoy the fun Halloween inspired tricks and treats I'm sharing with you this week! Have a great week and happy Halloween festivities!

Salted Caramel Chocolate Cupcakes (GF)

The cupcakes are the Betty Crocker gluten free chocolate cake mix.  Make them based on the box instructions and add 2/3 cup mini chocolate chips to the batter.  It makes 18 cupcakes.

The Caramel Icing:

4 cups powder sugar

1 cup butter

3 Tbsp cream cheese

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup caramel sauce (used Smuckers salted caramel)

Beat with mixer and then pipe on cupcakes when cool.

Mummy Mason jars

These are super easy, as well as super cute and festive!

You will need the following:

Mason jars

Washi or craft tape

Fun face stickers

Electric tea light candles

Simply put, wrap the tape around the mason jar in a mummy like fashion. Then place stickers on the front of the jar. Lastly place a candle in the bottom and you magically have a super cute decoration or table topper!
