My 29th Birthday and Lessons I'm Taking With Me!

Happy Wednesday again friends!

Today’s post is a BIG birthday post! Today is actually my mom’s birthday and I celebrated my 29th birthday on Monday! So today I’m sharing a fun birthday look with some lessons I’m taking into the last year in my 20’s along with a birthday note to my mom!

So far my 20’s have taught me a lot! I’m grateful for the lessons and the growth over the past several years! I learned about being in a relationship through long distance and then knowing it was wanted and who I wanted to be with forever. I’ve learned you can be confident in who you are and still want to grow and change at the same time! I’ve learned with people in my life it’s quality over quantity. It’s ok to say NO to plans and take time for yourself, that’s OK! I’ve learned not to compare myself to anyone as I’m on my own path on my own journey and I’ll get to where I’m supposed to be when I should be there. These are just a few important lessons the last 8 years have taught me! I’m grateful for them! My 29th year I’m focusing on my health and growing ('in business, personally, and in life) before the big 3-0 next year! AHHHH! I’m so excited for this next trip around the sun and all it has to hold!

Today is my mom’s birthday and I want to take a minute to celebrate her! She’s my best friend and I’m so blessed that she is my mom! As I’ve gotten older I’m more and more grateful for the relationship with my mom and everything she does for me! She’s so special and just the best ever and I’m so lucky she’s my mom! I could go on and on! I have some of my favorite moments with her below! Love you mom!

2019 Year In Review!

Happy New Year’s Eve Friends!

Celebrating the end of the decade by sharing my some of my favorite moments and looks from 2019!

But first let’s think about all we have done in the last decade! Here’s a recap of my last 10 years! I graduated high school in 2010 (OMG) then moved to Fort Myers to attend school at FGCU. In 2011 I started working as a ballroom dance teacher and learned some hard lessons about the dance community and love. I also at met and started dating Travis! In In 2012 I moved to Orlando to continue my degree at UCF and to give my long distance relationship a shot in the same city! In 2013 I interned for Orlando Style Magazine and started a minor in Journalism and discovered another passion of writing! In 2014 I graduated college with my degree in Photography and a minor in Journalism. In 2015 Travis and I moved in together and I got my first job out of school at an art gallery. In 2016 I started Lifestyle with Laramie and building my blog as well as my photo business and met our favorites Chris and Mer through Instagram. In 2017 Travis and I got engaged and moved to Lake Nona. In 2018 Travis and I went on our first cruise together to watch our friends Chris and Mer get married, we traveled to the West Coast, me for the first time and finally started wedding planning!

All that has brought us to this year! 2019 was pretty good to us! We had all our wedding festivities as we get married February 2020. We had our bachelor and bachelorette parties, my bridal shower, shot tons of fun looks for the blog, went on our annual Daytona Beach trip, made beach trips, Disney days, starting dancing again, let go of the negative, made room for the positive and turned 28! I can’t tell you how excited I am for the new year! This new year has so many amazing things on the horizon already it’s going to be an amazing new beginning! Here’s a look back at some of my favorites from this year!

Cheers!

My Golden Birthday!-Turning 28 On The 28th!

Today is my Golden Birthday! 28 on the 28th!

I had the idea about 6 months ago that I really wanted to celebrate this huge milestone and special birthday! My man made my dream a reality and set up a gold shoot with my photographer Kate for me! Thanks babe! I’ve been reflecting over the past several months on my life and how I’ve evolved and grown and I’m so proud of who I am and have become!

I’ve learned several things over my 28 years and my biggest one is love yourself, it doesn’t matter what others think! No matter what size I’ve learned to love myself in that moment! Embrace who you are and enjoy where you are in life right now! Don’t wait to enjoy things!

I’ve learned it’s quality over quantity. I’m thankful for the relationships I’ve built, my family and I are the tightest bound unit along with my relationship with my fiance, he’s my biggest supporter next to my parents, and the amazing friends I have in my life, I’m blessed! I have people that would do anything for me and me them I don’t need tons of friends I need a few AMAZING friends and I have some of the BEST!

I’ve learned to take care of myself, I don’t need to go to every event, please everyone, it’s my life and I need to make myself happy, I can’t make everyone happy all the time. It’s helped me learn balance, I’m still working on it but it’s key.

Lastly one big thing I’ve learned it to let go of negativity, someone is negative you don’t need them around. Someone is rude to you, leave. You don’t need to subject yourself to something that makes you unhappy or uncomfortable. Life if to short to be be unhappy so I’m making choices in my life that are providing true happiness and positive moments!

28 is going to be so so good to me I can feel it! Big changes are coming and I can’t wait for it!

xoxo
