new year

I'm Back-Life Update!

Happy Wednesday!

I’ve missed you here! The start of 2024 didn’t go as planned so this week’s post is catching you up on the start of the year and my hopes for the rest of 2024.

At the start of the year we lost my sweet grandmother just shy of her 94th birthday and to say it shook me is an understatement. I’ve lost many important people in my life and they all hit me different but her passing was a shock to the system which made it worse. That being said my thoughts are with any of you grieving a loved one! Shorty after getting back home I unexpectedly needed to get a new car, another thing I was not prepared for. So I went through the car buying process myself for the first time and all while preparing for another move. Yes, we move A LOT. As I’m sure you all feel it rates continue to rise as a renter so we hopefully won’t be moving for a few years from our new place.

Travis started a new job that he loves. We also celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. To say 2024 has been a RIDE up until now is an understatement.

We have some fun trips coming up this year and I’m hoping to have a new website here in time for our 8th blog anniversary!

What do you want to see here on the blog? Let me know!

2022-Making Plans & Setting Goals

Happy Wednesday friends!

I hope your new year has been off to a great start so far! We were sick during the holidays and are finally getting over it, as I was suffering from a sinus infection that kept lingering…ugh!

But enough of that, I wanted to share some updates and some goals I have for the new year with you! First off we are hoping and praying that this might be the year we get a house, now this is not for certain and hard to think about with the FL housing market booming and everyone moving here so we are keeping options open but that is something I would LOVE for us this year! As far as business goals, I’m hoping to double my income from last year and continue to serve my clients and help you all thrive on social media! If you need help building your social media let me know HERE!

A few personal goals include, I’m sure like most, to drink more water, move my body more and focus on my mental and physical health. Not for weight lose but to feel better!

I hope you have great success this year and would love to hear some of your goals for the year!

My 2021 Goals & Word Of The Year

Happy New Year Friends!

The past few years I chosen a word for the year and really like the concept so we are keeping with tradition this year. In 2020 my word was CHANGE and oh there was A LOT of change! To some up 2020 for us, we got married, the world then shut down, Travis lost his job but get a 10x better one, I quit my 9-5 to give my all to my business, we moved from Orlando to Sarasota and that basically wraps up 2020 for us.

On to 2021 my word this year is STRENGTH. With all the change that happened last year I want to gain strength in my life and show strength in my business and life as well. That being said I’ve spent the last few weeks setting goals both personal & business. These aren’t resolutions because truthfully I never ever stick to resolutions but last year writing goals down and making a vision board for those things were a huge help, 2/3 of those goals were accomplished and I couldn’t be more proud!

So cheers to 2021! I hope y’all have an awesome start to the new year!

2019 Year In Review!

Happy New Year’s Eve Friends!

Celebrating the end of the decade by sharing my some of my favorite moments and looks from 2019!

But first let’s think about all we have done in the last decade! Here’s a recap of my last 10 years! I graduated high school in 2010 (OMG) then moved to Fort Myers to attend school at FGCU. In 2011 I started working as a ballroom dance teacher and learned some hard lessons about the dance community and love. I also at met and started dating Travis! In In 2012 I moved to Orlando to continue my degree at UCF and to give my long distance relationship a shot in the same city! In 2013 I interned for Orlando Style Magazine and started a minor in Journalism and discovered another passion of writing! In 2014 I graduated college with my degree in Photography and a minor in Journalism. In 2015 Travis and I moved in together and I got my first job out of school at an art gallery. In 2016 I started Lifestyle with Laramie and building my blog as well as my photo business and met our favorites Chris and Mer through Instagram. In 2017 Travis and I got engaged and moved to Lake Nona. In 2018 Travis and I went on our first cruise together to watch our friends Chris and Mer get married, we traveled to the West Coast, me for the first time and finally started wedding planning!

All that has brought us to this year! 2019 was pretty good to us! We had all our wedding festivities as we get married February 2020. We had our bachelor and bachelorette parties, my bridal shower, shot tons of fun looks for the blog, went on our annual Daytona Beach trip, made beach trips, Disney days, starting dancing again, let go of the negative, made room for the positive and turned 28! I can’t tell you how excited I am for the new year! This new year has so many amazing things on the horizon already it’s going to be an amazing new beginning! Here’s a look back at some of my favorites from this year!

Cheers!
