30, Flirty, & Thriving

It’s my 30th birthday today!

AHHHH! How did that even happen?

I’ve learned a lot in my 30 years and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this new era in my life!

To commemorate this big birthday I want to share some of the biggest life lessons I’ve learned so far. As someone who feels like I’ve lived through several lives, lost people, loved, been hurt, made my dreams realities and everything in between there are a few big things I’ve learned so far!

Lesson 1: Love with all your heart.

Yes this could hurt you later on but loving with your whole self could be the best feeling in the world! I have the most amazing husband that I love with all my heart. I only found him after loving the wrong guys but I never felt like I didn’t try. As far as family, same thing. I never don’t tell my parents I love them, they are beyond the most special people to me. Always tell people that you love them!

Lesson 2: Be true to who you are.

I mostly understood this early on. I grew up ballroom dancing, living in a world that kids my age didn’t understand. Dancing was my first true love, something that was always true to who I am. As I’ve gotten older I’ve grown more to understand it’s ok to not like everything that everyone else likes and make the decisions that best serve you. Be you and do what you want to do!

Lesson 3: Follow your dreams, make them a reality!

Within the last few years I’ve really understood what it’s like to turn your dreams in reality. I’m living a life I never thought possible. I never thought I could work for myself and live a life I created, but here we are a little over a year into and I could never go back! I took a leap and it paid off! Make your dreams a reality, anything is possible!

Just some food for thought! Now I’m off to celebrate this day!

1 Year Self-Employed! We Made It!

Happy Wednesday, friends!

This week is another huge milestone and one that probably means the most to me!

Today is the one year anniversary of me leaving my 9-5 office job to pursue my dream of working for myself. This is something I never thought would be possible and just a dream that I would talk about but never truly pursue. To leave the comfort of a consistent paycheck is the scariest thing I’ve probably ever done to be honest!

2020 taught us a lot of things and there were a lot of things that accumulated to help me make that decision to leave. I thought if not now then when? When would I take the leap and bet on myself? So after everything we went through in 2020 I got the push I needed and just did it!

It helps that I had the support of my husband and my business coach and my friends and family but I knew even some of them thought I was a little crazy, but here we are 1 year later and I wouldn’t give this rollercoaster up for anything!

No the journey hasn’t been easy AT ALL but all the blood, sweat, and tears have been worth it and will continue to be worth it as I continue to build my brand and my business! I’m blessed that I can work from anywhere at any time. I’m grateful that this year so far I’ve been able to take mental health days when needed and a 7 day vacation with my family without worrying about using all my PTO or what I’m going to come back to once the trip is over. I’m so happy I can have lunch with my dad or take the day off when my mom has the day off, all things I couldn’t do before. I now have the FREEDOM to live a life that I want and am proud of!

I have a long way to go but in the one year I’ve come so far! I make more than I did at my full time job, I live a life that I create and even though it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done I’m so proud I took this step instead of just talking about it the rest of my life! In this first year I also built a course to help other women like myself build a blog that they could monetize whether for a hobby or make it a career! If you want this to be your narrative too sign up for my waitlist HERE to be the first to know when my course is coming back!

I can’t thank y’all enough for being there for me on this ride! It’s just the beginning and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us, because I’m taking y’all with me!

Celebrating Lifestyle with Laramie- 5 Year Blog Anniversary

Happy Tuesday, friends!

This week we have two blog posts going live and we’re are celebrating something super special today! 5 years ago today I launched Lifestyle with Laramie. I could have never imagined that five years later I would be where I am today!

I started my blog as an escape from my 9-5 office job. A place to talk about everything I enjoy from fashion to travel to everything lifestyle. I slowly grew to take on paid brand partnerships and invested in myself. I hired a business coach, I took mastermind classes and webinars. I’ve built a course and products and things I only ever dreamed of.

I quit my job a year ago to pursue this full time and I couldn’t be happier! I’ll talk move about that story and all about that next week!

I’m so thankful for all of you! Whether you have read my blog posts, purchased products, or commented or liked my posts I can’t thank you enough for all your support and kindness over the years! I can’t believe I’ve made it to this point and I can’t wait to see where this continues to go!

Happy Birthday To My Husband!

I’m thankful you are my forever partner in crime, dance partner, love of my life! You are the most amazing man and I’m so thankful I got to marry you before all the craziness started this year! Powder Blue Look-Talking Easter Activities & Spring Fashion

Welcome to quarantine week 4 for me anyway, I’ve been working from home for 4 weeks now and we still have a while month to go at least right now with the stay at home order.

With Easter coming up this Sunday and most of us will still be indoors depending on where you live. I wanted to share another fun easy look for Easter as well as some fun activities you can still do while social distancing.

First off this is one of my favorite looks from LC Lauren Conrad’s recent collection for Kohl’s! I’m loving the pastel powder blue and the fun white accessories! This dress comes in several colors and is super comfortable and would be a perfect option for Easter inside or outdoor activities as home! The heels are super comfortable and fun along with the white cat eye sunnies, and floral bag perfect for spring and summer! Let’s all cross our fingers we have an actual summer this year with all of this! Those of you with yards and pools, enjoy it! I’m totally jelly! Living in an apartment with no porch I’ve been taking a daily walk to get some time outside.

As for Easter activities those of you with little ones or something fun just for family members now you can still do Easter egg hunts inside or in yard and get creative! I personally always make Travis an Easter basket, I love giving gifts so that’s something I always do and I hide eggs around the apartment with clues that will lead him to the basket, just something fun! You can also still do brunch or a big breakfast, cook some fun things and dig in!

However you celebrate this Sunday I hope you enjoy it!

2019 Year In Review!

Happy New Year’s Eve Friends!

Celebrating the end of the decade by sharing my some of my favorite moments and looks from 2019!

But first let’s think about all we have done in the last decade! Here’s a recap of my last 10 years! I graduated high school in 2010 (OMG) then moved to Fort Myers to attend school at FGCU. In 2011 I started working as a ballroom dance teacher and learned some hard lessons about the dance community and love. I also at met and started dating Travis! In In 2012 I moved to Orlando to continue my degree at UCF and to give my long distance relationship a shot in the same city! In 2013 I interned for Orlando Style Magazine and started a minor in Journalism and discovered another passion of writing! In 2014 I graduated college with my degree in Photography and a minor in Journalism. In 2015 Travis and I moved in together and I got my first job out of school at an art gallery. In 2016 I started Lifestyle with Laramie and building my blog as well as my photo business and met our favorites Chris and Mer through Instagram. In 2017 Travis and I got engaged and moved to Lake Nona. In 2018 Travis and I went on our first cruise together to watch our friends Chris and Mer get married, we traveled to the West Coast, me for the first time and finally started wedding planning!

All that has brought us to this year! 2019 was pretty good to us! We had all our wedding festivities as we get married February 2020. We had our bachelor and bachelorette parties, my bridal shower, shot tons of fun looks for the blog, went on our annual Daytona Beach trip, made beach trips, Disney days, starting dancing again, let go of the negative, made room for the positive and turned 28! I can’t tell you how excited I am for the new year! This new year has so many amazing things on the horizon already it’s going to be an amazing new beginning! Here’s a look back at some of my favorites from this year!

Cheers!

Wedding Update-86 Days Away

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

This week I wanted to share a wedding update with you and share the most recent things we’ve done and what we have lined up as we are in the home stretch, less than 3 months away, where did time go?!

2 weeks ago we went home to the venue for our tasting and to get a preview of our tables for the reception! It was better than I could’ve imagined the table was perfection! Out theme is very romantic and classic with blush, rose, and ivory tones with touched of rose gold and it was beautiful!

But let’s be honest one of the most important parts of a wedding is the food! What do you remember most about weddings you attend? The dress, the drinks, and the food hands down! So the food and drinks are super important to us, huge foodies here and I especially want people to remember that we had awesome food at our wedding! The tasting did not disappoint we tried several things that would be severed that day as we are doing stations and have tons of options so we tried something from each station basically, all AMAZING! Truly so good I can’t wait for everyone to eat up that day and enjoy themselves!

As for things we have coming up….I have my first dress fitting at the end of the month along with booking out hotel and making ceremony and music decisions are at the top of my list! We have our rings, attire, vendors, almost everything. We are just down to the small stuff now it’s all happening so fast!

I’ll keep you posted as we continue the process! Have a great rest of your week!

xoxo
