I personally had a goal this year to focus on growing my business. Since the start of the year I have hired a business coach who has helped me immensely with my business and my systems. My business is growing and I’m so excited to help even more of you with your social media!

End of Q1-Check In!

We are about to enter Q2 already and I’m so excited to be moving ahead and see what’s in store!

In Q1 I made the decision to hire a new business coach and she has been such a pleasure to work with and learn from. I’ve started implementing new systems and practices to better my business and show up more for my clients. I’ve been restructuring how I show up on social media as well and though I haven’t been on IG much lately I’m planning things out to be there more consistently, sometimes we all need a refresh and a reboot! Hi, that’s me!

However looking into Q2 things will be shifting and changing. We will find out if we are staying at our current place or will be considering house hunting…hard to fathom right now! Let's Talk About Goals Baby!

I wanted to touch base on goals and what that is looking like right now.

This year has already been so crazy and we aren’t that far into it yet! Wow!

Business wise I made the leap after taking a year off to hire a business coach to help guide me in my pivot into social media management and consulting which has been an amazing thing already! I’m so grateful already for all the good things to come in my business this year!

Personal wise Travis and I are still moving towards our goals and even though it’s already been an emotional roller coaster but we are working on these big things we want to achieve on our own and are putting in the work and the effort to get there! I’ll keep y’all posted with all that!

1 Year Self-Employed! We Made It!

This week is another huge milestone and one that probably means the most to me!

Today is the one year anniversary of me leaving my 9-5 office job to pursue my dream of working for myself. This is something I never thought would be possible and just a dream that I would talk about but never truly pursue. To leave the comfort of a consistent paycheck is the scariest thing I’ve probably ever done to be honest!

2020 taught us a lot of things and there were a lot of things that accumulated to help me make that decision to leave. I thought if not now then when? When would I take the leap and bet on myself? So after everything we went through in 2020 I got the push I needed and just did it!

It helps that I had the support of my husband and my business coach and my friends and family but I knew even some of them thought I was a little crazy, but here we are 1 year later and I wouldn’t give this rollercoaster up for anything!

No the journey hasn’t been easy AT ALL but all the blood, sweat, and tears have been worth it and will continue to be worth it as I continue to build my brand and my business! I’m blessed that I can work from anywhere at any time. I’m grateful that this year so far I’ve been able to take mental health days when needed and a 7 day vacation with my family without worrying about using all my PTO or what I’m going to come back to once the trip is over. I’m so happy I can have lunch with my dad or take the day off when my mom has the day off, all things I couldn’t do before. I now have the FREEDOM to live a life that I want and am proud of!

I have a long way to go but in the one year I’ve come so far! I make more than I did at my full time job, I live a life that I create and even though it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done I’m so proud I took this step instead of just talking about it the rest of my life! In this first year I also built a course to help other women like myself build a blog that they could monetize whether for a hobby or make it a career! Life Update: Moving, Future Planning, and Goal Setting

Happy Wednesday friends!

This week I wanted to share a life update and talk about a few things here that I’m super excited about!

First off Travis and I are getting ready to move…again! Yes you might recall we made a move last November and not even a year later we are moving again, this time only about 20 minutes away so not a big deal. We received an amazing opportunity we couldn’t pass up and are super excited for a bigger space and new place (hopefully the last new place before a house). I’ll be sharing more décor posts and home things on the blog as this place we will be replacing a lot of furniture and different things that would come with us to a house.

This move is going to allow us to hopefully start preparing for buying a house soon so we are doing everything we can to really prepare and set ourselves up for success when we finally decide to purchase a home. The market is super crazy right now so we are holding off for now.

Finally I’m working on some major goal setting and working on those goals before my 30th birthday at the end of the year. Some of those goals include working on my health, bettering my business, and really preparing to start my 30’s off right.
